  • GEAR: Korg PolySix

So, Korg were always there making the synths, but had a reputation for being a bit crap.. Their Polys were meh to be blunt.. didn't have the ability to make complex sounds.. Only the semi-poly MONOPOLY and the MS-?? series were awesome, but suffered the hell of having Hz/Voltage control inputs, making them incompatible with Roland or Moog..

Here is a review of the Polysix - a truely horrible 6-voice machine, up there with the Sequential 610 and 600 as the most underwhelming experiences in polyphonic synthesis in the 80's.. Thin, Boring and impossible to interface with anything, it sucked balls. I was offered one in the mid 90's, and passed on it, something i fail to regret to this day..

So, to sum up: Korg - watch Yourself, you may be buying something horrible.
