    need help finding software

    hi all,

    im trying to find a program that will break up a large music file (usually over an hour) so that when you put the cd into your player, it recognises a number of tracks instead of one track.

    If the file has "silence" gaps along the way, or seriously noticeable drops in the audio level at points, then WAVELAB or RECYCLE can do that for you, sort of.. But it's NEVER going to be able to tell where a track starts or ends without a Volume drop of some sort..

      would any of these have a manual setting so you can chose where on the to add a track?
