there is a queue for passes.. and anyone that travels with us is WORKING, so a 'pass' could be more trouble then it's worth.. i'm not clear on how much it is for just 1 day.. the last time i looked at the website my head span with the permutations of what was what and how much.. but i imagine it's going to be somewhere between fair and unreasonable..Comment

yeah, was looking on the website for tickets and ticket info and the only offer that was mentioned was one for all 3 days.
I don't mind working, if you want. I'm working Saturday morning, so I was just gonna come down Saturday afternoon/evening for the craic, listen to some tunes, hang out with ye chaps and then tip on home that night as I can't stick around for the next day.Comment

Messy
Bad news on the single day tickets I'm sorry to say Rikand
Check http://www.thethinktank.ie/web09/tickets_satsun.html
Well, Life's philosophy is to live as long as you can.
So We do not sell one day ticket for Friday only or Saturday only, because , once you have bought a ticket and got the high-security wristband for Life, nobody will invite you to leave the site till the end of the festival.
If you are arriving on Saturday or Sunday you will now be able to buy your ticket at the gate ( if still available).
So depending when you buy the ticket you will pay one price or another.
Please note that one day tickets cannot be bought on Friday (Only 3 days Tickets) or Saturday (Only 2 days Tickets) Or Sunday (Only 1 day Tickets)
A 2 days (€85.00) TICKET IS ONLY VALID FOR SATURDAY 30May and SUNDAY 31May 2009 (For Friday you will need to pay extra fee of 25 Euro)
A 1 day (€50.00) TICKET IS ONLY VALID FOR SUNDAY 31May 2009 (For Friday you will need to pay extra fee of 75 Euro and if arriving on Saturday with a Sunday ticket you will have to pay a 50 Euro extra fee)Comment

Well, to wrap up on LIFE - me & AS went down on friday to record GREEN VELVET - came out well i think.. but we didnt get home till 5am. In fact i don't remember getting home. Anyway, the 'depart at 2-3pm next day' spoof for saturday was a bit spoofy, as i only woke up at 2.30, and the rest is a blur of getting down in time to set up to record Christian smith and start broadcasting live at 9pm.. We DID manage it, after falling victim to the bullshit instructions on getting down there a SECOND TIME, but only just..
Then the mobile network collapsed, and i couldn't even make a call, let alone do 3g or send texts! the 087 we had in the sat-van worked best, and i had the fun of talking people in to the place, as THEY were lost in the maze of bad directions..
In the end, we sorted everything, and managed to leg it at midnight as planned - due to an overtime shortage in RTE - and get home for 2ish. Overall, not a very relaxed transaction, but aside from the nonsense directions, it was a pleasurable experience, and i look forward to next year when LiFE will be what the Electric Picnic always promised to be..
Back on-topic: if Captain Planet & the Love posse have the same weather LiFE has/had next weekend, they are in for a fun fun happytime day.. 31C yesterday, and not a frown in sight.. Sunshine makes alot of difference with these things.. SO, good luck with that guys..Comment

Court-mole reports there was NO licence granted for the festival this week.. this means is capacity is now 4999 onsite.
Locals who like to burn wood in old oil barrels while holding signs that say things like DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING are twittering 5 tents are being constructed.. with 1 for the bar, and 1 for cloakroom (?) this leaves 3 tents, maybe 4.
I will be interested to see who actually plays, and who get's dicked.. Most interesting to see the adverts in the press this week have not changed to reflect the forced downsize. I wonder will they be offering any refunds to reflect this? oh wait, if you look at the ads it says: LINEUP SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE - MORE ACTS TBA
Also: God twittered this morning 'hey ireland, you have been far too happy the last 5 days, so i am sending you some rain, and a plague of rabid frogs.. enjoy your typhoon fu*kers..'
