Couch? Only with a wetsuit and a diver's helmet and even then I can't fully partake

Well due to weather (posted here at 05 June 2009 11:58) :
"Saturday will be cool windy and mostly cloudy. Western areas may have a few sunny breaks during the morning, but rain in the east will spread westwards to all areas during the day. The rain will be heavy at times with the risk of thundery downpours in the afternoon. Highest temperatures will range 12 to 15 degrees - coolest near north and east coasts. Fresh to strong northeast winds."

This means I won't be organising a couch & keg angle coz a) it's supoosed to rain, b) the chances of finding a halting site nearby ar getting smaller each day by local corpo-crackdowns on such and c) the doc's at St. James's told me alc is now fatal-juice for me... so Meh! an' SHAITE! but I had mah fun.

How much was the festival last year?

it says on the PL poster that there is a "Price Freeze and reduction on the 2008 festival tickets, it says 79 euro on the flyer but on ticket master its 86"

how is that a price freeze?

Well right now on the east coast the WX looks like this: 9C, 19mph N/E winds, and so far 9.9mm of rain since midnight. It's currently raining Sideways outside, and i think that god has spoken.. In fact, i am sneezing and have decided to put the heating on for an hour as i work.

Got wind last night that alot of people had been cancelled, so i don't expect any up-to-the-minute commentary as it all kicks off.. But, i'm sure that as long as people aren't left standing in the pissing rain for 2 hours like last year, and the people playing play well, it _should_ be a good day - this excludes the 'outdoor stage' which should be smothered and dumped as soon as possible, as god has sent a plague of rain to fix it.

I heard some surprising names had been dropped, mostly irish & b-list names, but all the same, some people who have been licking ass/big-upping the whole event bigtime have been rewarded with a blanking..

A weather update: winds are down to 18.3 MPH now, but there has been 49.2mm of rain since midnight! We are being punished for something, i just know it..
